Annual membership dues are the lifeblood of associations. That's certainly the case for the Chicago, Illinois-based American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), which serves the professional development needs of over 60,000 members. Without timely payments, ongoing coverage for services including salaries, benefits, publishing and professional events would be interrupted. Each June, AAP sends out an annual dues notice to all 60,000 members. To help further capture the attention of members this year, AAP decided to utilize the power DreamType Image-Personalization. Each graphic message was personalized for the individual member and sent to them by email. The reminder message was so attention getting that, upon receipt, many members immediately called in to pay their dues by phone. In fact, first-day response rates topped 18%, which is an association record. "This campaign really caught our members' attention!
